This Privacy Policy explains how Ammouri Labs (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles personal information when you visit https://ammouri-labs.com or use one of our mobile applications. We build apps we own rather than selling services, so we have no commercial reason to collect more than an app needs to work — and this policy is written to reflect that.
01The short version
- We collect the minimum an app needs in order to function.
- We do not sell or share your personal information for money or for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- We do not use advertising networks or data brokers.
- Where an app can keep your data on your own device, it does.
- You can ask us what we hold, ask for a copy, or ask us to delete it.
The sections below give the detail that the law — and anyone who wants to check — requires.
02Information we collect
Information you give us. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you put in the message. If an application offers an account or lets you submit feedback, we receive what you enter there.
Information collected automatically on this website. Our hosting provider processes standard server logs, which may include IP address, browser type, referring page, and timestamps, in order to serve the site and protect it from abuse.
Information collected automatically in our apps. Depending on the app, this may include device model, operating system version, app version, language and region, crash reports, and aggregate diagnostic or usage events. This data is used to keep the app working and to decide what to fix next.
Content you create.Content you make inside an app — notes, entries, media, settings — is stored on your device, or in your own iCloud or Google account, unless the app clearly states otherwise.
Purchase information. Subscriptions bought on this website are processed by Paddle, which acts as the merchant of record; subscriptions bought inside an app are processed by Apple or Google. From whichever one handled it we receive confirmation that a purchase occurred, its status, and the country used for tax purposes. We never receive your card number or full payment details.
03Why we use it
- To provide, operate, and maintain the Services;
- To diagnose crashes, fix bugs, and improve performance;
- To understand which features are used, in aggregate;
- To respond to your messages and support requests;
- To process and validate purchases and subscriptions;
- To protect against fraud, abuse, and security incidents; and
- To comply with legal obligations.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, our lawful bases are: performance of a contract (providing the app you asked for), legitimate interests (keeping the Services secure and working), consent (where we ask for it, such as optional analytics), and legal obligation.
04What we do not do
We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use third-party advertising networks or data brokers, and we do not build advertising profiles about you.
05Who we share information with
We share personal information only with service providers who process it on our behalf and under contract, and only as needed to run the Services. These typically include:
- Hosting and infrastructure providers, to serve this website and any backend an app requires;
- Paddle, which sells subscriptions bought on this website as merchant of record and handles payment, invoicing, tax, and refunds for them;
- Apple and Google, for app distribution, purchases made inside an app, subscriptions, and crash reporting;
- Email providers, to receive and answer messages you send us.
We may also disclose information where we are legally required to, or where it is necessary to protect our rights, users’ safety, or the integrity of the Services. If we are ever involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, personal information may transfer as part of that transaction; we will give notice before it becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
06Cookies, and the one tracker on this website
This website can load the Meta pixel, so we can tell which advertising actually brings people here. It is the only tracker on the site, and it does not run until you have accepted it.
While it is active, Meta receives the pages you viewed here, your IP address, your browser and device details, and — if you go on to subscribe — the fact that a purchase took place. Meta may match that against a Facebook or Instagram account it already holds. What Meta does with it after that is governed by their policy, not ours.
We ask before loading it, and we remember a refusal so you are not asked again. Declining costs you nothing: every part of this site works the same either way. You can change your mind whenever you like from the Tracking link in the footer, which brings the choice back.
Nothing else here follows you: no analytics suite, no advertising network beyond the pixel described above, and no cookie used to build a profile of you. Our applications contain no advertising trackers at all. That is a property of the apps themselves, and nothing you choose on this website changes it in either direction.
07Children's privacy
Our Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If an application is intended for children, that will be stated clearly on its store listing and the app will comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the applicable Apple and Google policies for children’s apps.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has given us personal information, email contact@ammouri-labs.com and we will delete it promptly.
08Your California privacy rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA gives you the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect, the purposes for collecting it, and the categories of parties we disclose it to;
- Access a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- Delete personal information we hold about you, subject to legal exceptions;
- Correct inaccurate personal information;
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information; and
- Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.
We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA, so we do not offer a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” mechanism. To exercise any right above, email contact@ammouri-labs.com. You may use an authorized agent; we may need to verify your identity before we act on a request.
09Your rights in the EEA and UK
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to our processing of your personal information, the right to data portability, and the right to withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
10How to exercise your rights
Email contact@ammouri-labs.comwith what you would like us to do. We will respond within the period required by applicable law — generally 45 days under the CCPA and 30 days under the GDPR — and will tell you if we need more time.
Much of the data our apps hold never leaves your device. In those cases the fastest way to delete it is to delete the app, and we will say so rather than pretend a request was needed.
11Retention
We keep personal information only as long as it serves the purpose it was collected for, or as long as the law requires. Email correspondence is kept while it is useful for support and then deleted. Crash and diagnostic data is retained on a rolling basis, typically no longer than 24 months.
12Security
We use encryption in transit, limit access to personal information to those who need it, and prefer on-device storage where an app allows it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security — but if a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.
13International transfers
We operate from the United States and our service providers may process data there or elsewhere. If you use the Services from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in a country whose data protection laws differ from your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
14Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our apps change. We will revise the “last updated” date at the top of this page, and for material changes we will give notice through the Services before they take effect.
